Window Light
I LOVE natural lighting so much. it is my absolute favorite kind of lighting, probably because it is the easiest to use, unless there is no light outside :) I like the way it looks really soft on the subjects skin. I also like hard light, but soft light is my favorite. This is the best, and most used type of light for newborn portraits! here are some portrait shots of my siblings, the background is brick that we recently put up inside my house. ~Valerie Espinoza

Couple Portraits
There is a first for everything, and this was my first time taking portraits of a couple! It was very good practice and a great learning experience. The main thing I learned is that there are different poses to use to make it a nice couples portrait, but the important thing is to make sure that most of the time their heads are together (or at least in the same area) so that they are both in focus, and one is not getting more attention than the other. Overall these were great

Low Key Portraits
last week I took these photos in class and I love how they came out! In the beginning of this semester in college I learned what a high key portrait is and what a low key portrait is. High key is when the subject is wearing light color clothes and the background is also light. Low key is just the opposite of that. I think these kind of portraits draw attention to the subjects face, which is the most important part of the portrait! ~Valerie Espinoza
